THE BURNT PENDANT is a ceramic series of red ball clay pendant lights handcrafted by TONA in Oaxaca de Juárez.The ceramic tubes were high-fired by 1200 degrees in an electric kiln. The pendant carries white or black pigments that are fully or partly applied on the outer skin, or retains completely the natural color of the clay. Prominent minerals from the red clay captivate with their light shimmer after the firing process.
Snow Covered
Snow Covered is a high-fired red ball clay pendant. The stoneware´s unique presence is characterised by its organic shape and irregularities in the mineral texture. A notable weight, massiveness, and unrefined rawness exudes from the pendant a brutalist aesthetic. The outer surface is roughly coated with a matte white glaze that allows the minerals to shine through. The inner part retains its natural red clay color.

Iced Peak
Iced Peak is a high-fired red ball clay pendant. The stoneware´s unique presence is characterised by its organic shape and irregularities in the mineral texture. The top of the outer surface is roughly coated with a matte white glaze that allows the minerals to shine through. The inner part retains its natural red clay color.

The Burnt Pendant is particularly impressive as a directional spotlight. It is heavy enough for a textile cord to hang straight. The pendant makes a statement on its own and has a significant impact when paired with lamps of different colors from the same series. The Pendant is supplied as ceramic body only, without cord and light bulb.

Tousled Beard
The Tousled Beard is a pendant light delicately woven from palm fibers in the Cañada region of Oaxaca. The naturally left fringes contribute to a wild yet elegant feel. The fine woven palm fibres are very flexible and will last long when kept in a dry place. The palm shade does not come with wiring or socket.

The Tousled Beard Grande is a pendant light delicately woven from palm fibers in the Cañada region of Oaxaca.
