WHITE EARTHENWARE
Pottery is something traditional,
it comes from the earth and goes back to the earth.
White Earthenware is a ceramic series handcrafted by artisans from the the Central Valleys of Oaxaca. It wears accidental scars or birthmarks originating during the formation process or during burning. The earthenware is fired at high enough temperatures to vitrify, making it watertight. It is oven- and dishwasher-resistant, although it is not recommended to expose it to liquids for several days. White Earthenware is rustic by nature but at the same time captivates with its elegant appearance. The white glaze provides a subtle white shimmer. The series is striking for its organic shapes and simplicity.

The earthenware, despite its glazing technique that reduces porosity still has a higher water absorption rate compared to stoneware due to its natural properties. This makes it more susceptible to stains. However, with careful use, an appreciation for its distinctive character and authentic craftsmanship, it becomes indispensable for daily use.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS: After purchase, follow these care instructions only once: Boil a liter of water with a handful of salt or lime, then pour it into a large container. Add room temperature water. Submerge the clay pieces, ensuring all pieces are covered. Let them rest overnight, then wash them like any other dishes the next day. When in use, wash the clay directly afterward. Avoid using steak knives. Apply organic coconut oil occasionally to prevent stains and maintain a natural patina.
